"in our mightiest words our weakness lies"

This is just a quick post as I have TONS of homework to do. The title for this post comes from a Human Drama song. I thought about these lyrics as I read that Powell was "worried" about Putin's "response" to Russia's "terrorist attacks." Why exactly are we worried about what another "sovereign" nation chooses to do to "protect" itself from "terror" particularly a nation that has actually been known to side with this particular administration more often than not? The news brief I read today made me laugh as it mentioned that Powell was concerned Russia was overturning its "democratic reforms" and that this would give the "Kremlin" more power over the citizens. Hmm...where has this happened before????

Actions DO speak louder than words, don't they?

peace!

"And what might it mean to have a right to live somewhere, anywhere? I started to muse on what we call "history." Did it mean a space memories can flow into, a depth of shared sense, of matters invisible that pierce our ordinary lives?"--Meena Alexander, "Bordering Ourselves" from "The Shock of Arrival"
